Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And he is the one who killed the caliph after him *** I mean 'Ali, the killer of his peers"
May Allah be pleased with him, 'Ali ibn Abi Talab was killed by the Khawarij, who rebelled against him after they had been with him in his ranks, but they disavowed him, may Allah protect us from that, and rebelled against him and killed him in Kufah while he was going out for the Fajr prayer, calling people to prayer, may Allah be pleased with him, prayer, prayer, so they killed him. He was killed as a martyr and buried in the Palace of the Governor in Kufah. And it is a mercy from Allah that his grave was not known; it was not known because he was buried in the Palace of the Governor for fear that the Khawarij would take him out of his grave in the cemetery and mutilate his body. Who is the one who killed the caliph? By what means? By ta'wil (figurative interpretation), because they said that when you accepted arbitration with Mu'awiyah, may Allah be pleased with him, you became a disbeliever and your blood became lawful, so they killed him with this ta'wil.
