The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted, in the context of the hadiths in the chapter explaining a group of martyrs regarding their reward in the Hereafter: "From 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him and his father), who said:Musnad Ahmad 590Sahih hadeeth; this isnad is Hasan] (Darussalam) This is agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And from Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn 'Amr ibn Nufayl, one of the ten who were promised Paradise (may Allah be pleased with them), who said: Riyad as-Salihin 1356 Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi narrated it, and al-Tirmidhi said: It is a good, authentic hadith. And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: Riyad as-Salihin 1357 Muslim narrated it".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
These are the remaining hadiths explaining the martyrs regarding their reward in the Hereafter. Among them is what is in the hadith of 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him and his father), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:Sahih Muslim 141a This means: If someone comes to you wanting to take your wealth, defend it until you are killed, then you are a martyr. And in the last hadith, he said: What do you think if he fights me? He said: Fight him. He said: What do you think if he kills me? He said: Then you are a martyr. He said: What do you think if I kill him? He said: He is in the Fire. This indicates that a person must defend his wealth if someone comes wanting to take it. You defend it, and if it cannot be defended except by killing, then kill him. If it can be defended without that, do not kill him. That is, if it is possible for you to be stronger than him and tie his hands and feet and capture him, do not kill him, because there is no need to kill him. And if it is not possible and he fights you, fight him, even if you kill him. And if you fear that he will kill you first, kill him, and there is no need to continue the fight. That is, if he comes to you running fast with a weapon drawn, kill him, because if you do not strike first, he will kill you. If you kill him, he is in the Fire, and if he kills you, you are a martyr. Likewise, in the hadith of Sa'id ibn Zayd: Riyad as-Salihin 1356 even if someone tries to tempt you in your religion, violate your honor, or something similar, and you fight him and he kills you, you are a martyr, and if you kill him, he is in the Fire. For this reason, the scholars said: "Repelling an aggressor is permissible, even if it leads to his killing", because if he aggresses against you, he has no sanctity. But if he is repelled by something less than killing, do not kill him. We ask Allah the Exalted to help us and you against the trials, both those that are apparent and those that are hidden.

What shall I do if someone comes to me with the intention of taking away my property?" He replied, "Do not hand over it to him." The man asked, "What shall I do if he fights me?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Then fight him." "What will be my position in the Hereafter if he has killed me?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied, "In that case you are a martyr." The man asked: "What if I killed him?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied, "He will be in the Hell- fire."
