It is not the speech of Allah

Meaning, we too agree with you that the Torah which Allah revealed to Moses, the Gospel to Jesus, and the Furqan to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them) are not the words of Allah. Note, people, that the Mu'tazilah say the Qur'an is not the words of Allah in the sense intended by the people of the Sunnah. The Asha'irah say this Qur'an is not the words of Allah. The philosophers also say it is not the words of Allah, because it does not contain a God who is an Active Intellect managing the universe, and it is not He. This speech is His speech. Therefore, he says:
" They are not the words of Allah, but rather an effusion from the *** Active One " This is the doctrine of the philosophers. " Or a creation among the creations " This is the doctrine of the Mu'tazilah and the Asha'irah. Do you understand? The philosophers say this speech is an effusion from the Active Intellect, which this Intellect pours out upon a human being capable of receiving it, so that he adapts to the manner of this light that this Active Intellect cast upon him, and then he speaks the words. The Asha'irah and the Mu'tazilah say this audible, written speech is not the words of Allah. Why? The Mu'tazilah say it is a creation that Allah created, just as He creates the heavens and the earth, but He attributed it to Himself as a mark of honor. The Asha'irah say the words of Allah are the meaning subsisting in His own self, and He created sounds that indicate it and express it. Thus, this Qur'an, according to both views, is created. Therefore, he says: or a creation among the creations.
