Is the Torah and the Gospel from the speech of Allah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is the Torah and the Gospel from the speech of Allah?
The Shaykh : It is known among the Salaf that they are from the speech of Allah, but I do not recall, up to now, them being described as being from the Book of Allah. They were only described as being revealed and that they are books. As for the speech of Allah, in this regard, there is only the Qur'an.

The Shaykh : Yes, Shaker?

The questioner : Shaykh, regarding some of the youth, they do not believe except in what their intellect chooses?

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah. This is not permissible. It is feared that he may be a disbeliever if he does not believe except in what his intellect chooses, for he has not believed in the Shari'ah.

The Shaykh : It is not necessary that he find the eye. Allah says:
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little." ويسألونك عن الروح قل الروح من أمر ربي وما أوتيتم من العلم إلا قليلا
[Al-Isra 17:85]
And a person finds that he should worship Allah; for Allah, he is for himself.
