(Explanation of the interpretation of the Khawarij, which was based on the texts, whereas the interpretation of the Mu'attilah was based on reason and opinion) Do you have two rewards for your interpretation, while *** they have two sins for their interpretation?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Do you have two rewards for your interpretation, while *** they have two sins for their interpretation?"
This is a rhetorical question of denial, meaning that you interpret and claim that we are interpreters who are correct, so we have two rewards. As for them, they are not interpreters but rather obstinate, so they have two sins.
"May the Messenger of Allah be exempt from this judgment, but *** you and they are equal in his judgment.
And both of you are contrary to the text, *** this is the distinction between you two.
They contradicted a text with a similar text, *** they did not understand reconciliation through excellence.
But you contradicted the stated text for *** doubts which are the ideas of minds."

Which of them is more contradictory? The Khawarij contradicted the texts indicating that a believer does not become a disbeliever through sins and major sins, but why did they contradict them? Because of other texts that confused them, which indicated the disbelief of some doers of major sins. Do you understand? So they contradicted the texts with other texts, but they were not granted success in reconciling them. As for you, you contradicted the texts for opinions and ideas and what you claimed as intellects. For this reason, he said:
"But you contradicted the stated text for *** doubts which are the ideas of minds.
So for what reason are you better and clos *** er to the truth and faith than they are?"

This is a rhetorical question of denial, meaning that it is not possible for you to be closer to the truth and faith than they are.
"They prioritized the meaning derived from the word of the Book *** over the hadith that necessitates clarification."
The Khawarij care about the Qur'an, but they do not act upon the hadith, as Ibn al-Qayyim said here. Perhaps this is the statement of a group among them, and some of them do act upon the hadith if its chain is authentic, but they are strict regarding hadiths.
"But you prioritized the opinion of men *** over both," meaning over the Book and the hadith. "Are you two just?"
The answer is no, you are not just, because if they took the Qur'an without the hadith, then you did not take either this or that.
