The meaning of the poet's saying: "Whoever repents among you, Paradise is his destination *** Or if he dies a Jahmi, he is in the Fires"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"*** So the Lord accepts the repentance of the remorseful"
Repentance based on remorse is true repentance, whereas repentance based on anything else is incomplete. In fact, the scholars have made remorse one of the conditions for the acceptance of repentance.
"Whoever repents among you, Paradise is his destination ***" Even if he was a disbeliever at first. For this reason, we know from history what happened to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) in the early days of the Islamic call, regarding his opposition and resistance. If he had died in that state, what would have happened? He would have been among the people of the Fire. But Allah granted him the favor of repentance, so he became one of the people of Paradise. He became the third of the graves buried in the house of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). So he says:
"Whoever repents among you, Paradise is his destination *** Or if he dies a Jahmi, he is in the Fires"
This means: Whoever dies upon the doctrine of Jahm ibn Safwan, he is in the Fire, because most of the Salaf declared the Jahmiyyah to be disbelievers, and the destination of a disbeliever is the Fire. We seek refuge in Allah from that. And Allah knows best.
