The Ruling on the Repentance of One Who Utters Words of Disbelief and Its Acceptance from Him in This World

Question:
If a Muslim utters a word of disbelief—may Allah protect us from that—is repentance and seeking forgiveness sufficient for him, or is it obligatory for him to perform the full ritual bath afterwards? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
If a person speaks words that necessitate his apostasy, he must repent. It is recommended for him to perform the full ritual bath, and some scholars said that the full ritual bath is obligatory. There is scholarly disagreement regarding the obligation of the bath, and the more correct and closer view is that it is a prescribed recommended practice. The only obligatory thing is repentance, returning to Allah, turning to Him, feeling remorse for what has passed, ceasing from his sin and disbelief, and repenting to Allah from it with a sincere resolve not to return to it. By that, Allah will accept his repentance. Allah the Exalted said: [Surat al-Nur: 31]. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Ibn Majah 4250Da’if (Darussalam) So, if he speaks words of disbelief, such as insulting the religion, disparaging the religion, insulting the Companions, or the like of that, he must hasten to repent. If the one in authority learns of it and it is established before the one in authority, he must be given a discretionary punishment and disciplined, even if he has repented. If he persists and does not repent, he must be killed as an apostate. We ask Allah for safety.
The point is: if a person commits one of the nullifiers of Islam, then repents to Allah with a sincere repentance, Allah accepts his repentance, and that is sufficient for all sins. Allah accepts the repentance of anyone who repents to Him, provided he fulfills the conditions, is sincere in his repentance, and is truthful in it. Allah accepts his repentance from every sin, even shirk (associating partners with Allah). However, there are matters that may necessitate his killing, even if he repents, such as sorcery and insulting the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). A group of scholars said that he is not asked to repent in these cases, but is killed, because his evil is great and his fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) is severe. However, his repentance between him and Allah is valid if he is truthful between him and Allah. Yes.
