Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"The messengers are more deserving of life with Him, even with *** the death of the bodies"
The messengers are more deserving of life with Allah, even with the death of the bodies, more deserving of life than whom? Than the martyrs, even with the death of the bodies and these physical forms.
"And they are fresh" meaning: their bodies and physical forms, I mean the prophets.
"Fresh in the earth, and their being eaten *** is forbidden for it" meaning for the earth, "by proof" because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded to increase in sending blessings upon him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that the blessings are presented to him. They said: How are our blessings presented to you when you have died? He said:
for Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets إن الله حرم على الأرض أن تأكل أجساد الأنبياء
Sunan Ibn Majah 1637Da’if (Darussalam)
It is forbidden for it. Is it obligated such that it is addressed in the prohibition? Huh? Some scholars said, meaning it is possible to say that the prohibition here is linguistic prohibition meaning prevention, not the prohibition that entails obligation, because the prohibition that entails obligation is negated with respect to the earth, negated by the saying of the Exalted:
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it إنا عرضنا الأمانة على السماوات والأرض والجبال فأبين أن يحملنها وأشفقن منها
[Al-Ahzab 33:72]
Yes
And the human being bore it وحملها الإنسان
. And some said: It is correct to direct the prohibition and obligation to it, even if it is not obligated with an obligation that entails punishment for disobedience, by the evidence of the saying of the Exalted:
Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly." ثم استوى إلى السماء وهي دخان فقال لها وللأرض ائتيا طوعا أو كرها قالتا أتينا طائعين
[Fussilat 41:11]
So He established for them volition and aversion, and directed the address to them.
In any case, the issue here is not of great importance, because everyone agrees that the obligation of the earth and the heavens is not an obligation that entails reward and punishment, because they will not disobey the command of Allah. Now, he says:
"*** is forbidden for it" for whom? For the earth, "by proof".
