Prohibition of the statement: "For the sake of Allah's face"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! Regarding some people who say: "For the sake of Allah's face, let lunch be at our place, or dinner at our place." Is this permissible?

This is forbidden, and it is not permissible for a person to say: "For the sake of Allah's face, let lunch be at my place, or dinner at my place." This is because he is seeking intercession with Allah regarding His creation. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is too great to be a means between you and people. Therefore, this statement is forbidden, and it is obligatory to forbid it.
The person addressed has the right to refuse; because this formulation is forbidden, and one is not obligated to comply with what is forbidden.
