The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
It has been mentioned previously that those who affirmed the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or rather the life of the prophets in their graves, cited as evidence that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Moses praying in his grave. The author (may Allah have mercy on him) spoke about this hadith and said:
"This, and his seeing the one who spoke with Allah praying *** in his grave, is a report of great significance
In the heart, there is a prick of doubt regarding it"
"Tusaykah" is the diminutive of "hasakah," and "hasak" originally refers to a type of thorny tree. The meaning is that the author’s heart was not at ease with this hadith, which Muslim narrated, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Moses praying in his grave. The direction of this matter in the author’s heart is that he says, yes:
"In the heart, there is a prick of doubt regarding it. Did he say it? ***" meaning, did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say it?
"*** The truth is what the one with proof has said" meaning, if he did say it, then it is the truth, and there is no consideration for what is in his heart, because a person must submit completely to what has come in the Book of Allah and what is authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and must not hesitate in implementing it if it is a ruling, or in accepting it if it is a report.
