But this is not exclusive to him*** And Allah is the possessor of favor and the possessor of kindness (Ibn al-Qayyim’s explanation of the hadith and the presentation of a corroborating report indicating this) So Ibn Hibban al-Subkhi narrated

The Shaykh : But the author says:
"But this is not exclusive to him*** And Allah is the possessor of favor and the possessor of kindness"
Meaning that a person praying in the grave is not exclusive to Musa, but it may happen for others as well.
"So Ibn Hibban al-Subkhi and others narrated*** a report that is authentic in his view and of great significance
In it is the prayer of 'Asr in the grave of the one*** who has died while being firm in faith
So the sun was personified for him, which he used to*** tend to for the sake of the prayer of the one who is near
At sunset"

The student: ...

The Shaykh :"So the sun was personified" meaning the sun was personified for him, as if it were at sunset
"Fearing the loss of his prayer*** he says to the two angels, "Will you allow
For me to pray 'Asr before it is lost*** they said, "You will do that after a while""

Allahu Akbar. There is a hadith that states that when a deceased person is buried and the two angels come to him, the sun is personified for him, as if it were at sunset, as if it were at sunset. And this deceased person is firm in faith, a believer with true faith. He tends to the sun for the sake of the times at which he prays. And the prayer of 'Asr, as we know, is the best of the prayers. So the sun is personified for him at sunset, as if it wants to set. When the two angels come to him, they say, "Allow me, allow me, so that I may pray Maghrib before the sun sets."
The student: 'Asr.

The Shaykh : Yes, so that I may pray 'Asr before the sun sets. So this is an ordinary man, not a messenger, who prays in his grave. The two angels say to him, "You will do that after a while," meaning you will pray after the questioning. He says:
"In it is the prayer of 'Asr in the grave of the one*** who has died while being firm in faith
So the sun was personified for him, which he used to*** tend to for the sake of the prayer of the one who is near"

How is the—

The questioner : Shaykh... so it was personified

The Shaykh : So "it was personified" is the correct form. The sun is personified as if it were at sunset. Yes, but the point is his statement:
"He used to*** tend to it for the sake of the prayer of the one who is near"
The early people used to find it difficult to observe the sun. When? At the zenith, and when the shadow of everything becomes equal to it, and at the setting of the twilight, and at the appearance of the dawn. But we, praise be to Allah, now, by what Allah has bestowed upon us of clocks, have made observing the times easy for us. So he says:
"At sunset, fearing the loss of his prayer*** he says to the two angels, "Will you allow""
Which two angels? The ones that come to him in his grave and question him about his Lord, his religion, and his Prophet.
"For me to pray 'Asr before it is lost*** they said, "You will do that after a while""
So the prayer in the grave has now become possible even for other than the prophets.
