The Maghrib prayer at the setting of the sun
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17983 )
Q 2: Is the Maghrib prayer performed at the setting of the sun or by the clock? Because some of the brothers were in Germany , and they said: The sun sets for them at night, approximately at 10 PM, so what is the ruling in this case, may Allah honor you?
A 2: The principle is that the time for Maghrib begins with the setting of the sun, so it is
not permissible to perform the prayer except after the setting of the sun by observation, or by the preponderance of probability of its setting in the case of clouds and the like. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
