(The poet’s praise of the supporters of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)) So upon him is a greeting from the Divine*** And Allah preserves him throughout the ages, had it not been for him, no water would have been given

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then it said:
"So upon him is a greeting from the Divine*** And Allah preserves him throughout the ages"
"So upon him"—the pronoun may refer to "supporters," which is a plural form used for the generic sense, meaning: So upon the supporters of the Messenger, the knights of faith, is a greeting from Allah, and Allah preserves them throughout the ages. It appears that al-Harras, as read by Brother Ali, intended the pronoun in "So upon him" to refer to the Shaykh al-Islam, but since no mention of him was found, it should be that "So upon him" means: So upon these supporters, and this plural is used in the generic sense.
"So upon him is a greeting from the Divine*** And Allah preserves him throughout the ages
Had it not been for him, no water would have been given to the plants, so let that water be given to the great date palm of high status"

He means: Had it not been for the supporters of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the knights of faith, no water would have been given to the plants, so let that water be given to the great date palm of high status.
