How is the night prayer performed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I hope you will inform me about how the night prayer is performed?

The Shaykh : The night prayer, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said when a man asked him, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the night prayer?" He said:
Two by two مثنى مثنى
That is, a person prays two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs, saying the taslim after every two rak'ahs. Then he prays the witr. As for the witr, if he wishes, he prays it with three rak'ahs with one tashahhud. If he wishes, he prays it with five rak'ahs with one tashahhud. If he wishes, he prays it with seven rak'ahs with one tashahhud. If he wishes, he prays it with nine rak'ahs with two tashahhuds; he sits after the eighth rak'ah, recites the tashahhud, and does not say the taslim, then he prays the ninth rak'ah. As for when he prays the witr with eleven rak'ahs, which is the most common form of witr, he says the taslim after every two rak'ahs. Yes.

The questioner : She has a final question. The listener, Maimunah, says.
