The ruling on praying the witr prayer twice in one night
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: Is it permissible for a woman to pray witr after the night prayer, having already prayed witr after the 'Isha' prayer?
Answer:
She should pray whatever is easy for her, and she does not need another witr; the first witr is sufficient. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 470Sahih (Darussalam) If she has prayed witr at the beginning of the night, and then Allah makes it easy for her to stand in prayer at the end of the night, she should pray whatever is easy: two rak'ahs, four rak'ahs, six rak'ahs, or more. She should say the closing salam after every two rak'ahs, praying them in pairs, saying the salam after every two rak'ahs. The first witr is sufficient, and praise be to Allah.
