(Explanation of the stratagems of the people of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) against the Imams of the Sunnah, such as Imam Ahmad and the Shaykh al-Islam) O Lord, the deniers have transgressed and mustered *** with cavalry and infantry of lowly status

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"O Lord, the deniers have transgressed and mustered *** with cavalry and infantry of lowly status"
"Baghat" means: they transgressed, and "mustered with cavalry" is derived from the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers وأجلب عليهم بخيلك ورجلك
[Al-Isra 17:64]
.
"And infantry of lowly status
They set up snares and traps for those *** who took hold of Your revelation rather than the words of so-and-so"

Yes, they set up snares and traps, which is the plural of "gha'ilah" (trap), and this was by their complaints to the sultans and princes. It is not hidden from us all what happened to the Imam of the People of the Sunnah, Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him), during the Inquisition, where they would drag him on a mule and beat him with whips until he fainted in the markets, may Allah have mercy on him. It is also not hidden what happened to the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him), where they would put him on an open cart and parade him around, exposing him to public view, and in the end, they imprisoned him until he died in prison. When they imprisoned him, his companions would come to him to take from his knowledge, so they prevented his companions from accessing him. Then he would write and disseminate, so they prevented him from writing. Then he would write on the prison walls, in order to disseminate the knowledge in his heart, and in the end, he died imprisoned, may Allah have mercy on him.
The point is that these deniers, and may Allah protect us from them, did not leave the people without evil and aggression; rather, they did with them all the actions they could, through their accusations. He said:
"They set up snares and traps for those *** who took hold of Your revelation rather than the words of so-and-so
And they called upon Your servants that"

Yes.
