The teacher who gives students prizes and encouraging rewards: is he rewarded for that?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The teacher who gives students prizes and encouraging rewards: is he rewarded for that?

The Shaykh : If a teacher gives his students encouraging prizes to motivate them to study, energize them for it, and make them compete in it, then he is rewarded for this. It is part of spending on knowledge, which brings merit to the one who does it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say regarding expeditions:
Whoever kills someone can have his effects من قتَل قتيلاً فله سلبه
Muwatta Malik 21:21
This is undoubtedly one of the ways of encouragement. If a teacher does this to encourage the students, he is rewarded for it, and he accustoms the students to competing to reach what is good. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh, and may Allah bless you and your knowledge, and benefit the Muslims through you.
