The questioner : The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit one day and said: "Ameen" three times. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked him: "For what did you say Ameen, O Messenger of Allah?" What is the hadith? And what is its meaning?

The Shaykh : Yes. The hadith is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit one day and said:
Ameen, Ameen, Ameen ءامين ءامين ءامين
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about that, about his saying Ameen, and he said:
Jibril came to me and said: "May the nose of a man be rubbed in the dust in whose presence you are mentioned and he does not send blessings upon you." Say Ameen, so I said Ameen. Then he said: "May the nose of a man be rubbed in the dust who reached Ramadan and was not forgiven." Say Ameen, so I said Ameen. Then he said: "May the nose of a man be rubbed in the dust who reached his parents or one of them and did not bring them into Paradise." Say Ameen, so I said Ameen.
The meaning is clear. The first phrase is about a man in whose presence the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was mentioned but he did not send blessings upon him. This hadith indicates that it is obligatory to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) when he is mentioned by a person. If he does not do so, he deserves to be cursed with this prayer, "May his nose be rubbed in the dust." The meaning of "may his nose be rubbed in the dust" is that he fell into the dust and earth, and this is an expression of his humiliation and degradation.
The second is: a man who reached Ramadan but was not forgiven, and that is by neglecting the fasting of Ramadan and the standing in prayer during Ramadan. For whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins are forgiven, and whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins are forgiven. If he neglects and wastes it, he will not obtain this great reward and he will have his nose rubbed in the dust.
The third is: a man who reached his parents or one of them but did not bring them into Paradise, meaning he did not perform the dutifulness toward them that would be a cause for entering Paradise. This is also one of those upon whom Jibril prayed for humiliation and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said Ameen that his nose be rubbed in the dust, meaning he be afflicted with humiliation. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. He has another question, saying: "Your Eminence, the Shaykh."
