(Clarification that what is in Paradise is not what is in this world except in name) Ibn Abbas said, "What is in the uppermost Paradise, other than names, is not what you see, meaning the realities are not..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
"Ibn Abbas said, 'What is in the uppermost Paradise, other than names, is not what you see'"
Meaning: There is nothing in Paradise from what is in this world except the names.
Pomegranates does not mean that the pomegranates of Paradise are like our pomegranates, but its name is pomegranates, and the reality differs, because Allah said:
And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes فلا تعلم نفس ما أخفي لهم من قرة أعين
[As-Sajdah 32:17]
, and He the Exalted said in the Qudsi Hadith:
I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, nor an ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of. أعددت لعبادي الصالحين ما لا عين رأت ولا أذن سمعت ولا خطر على قلب بشر
Sahih al-Bukhari 7498
.
If what is there were like what is here, we would know what is in it of the delight of the eyes. For this reason, he said:
There is nothing in it except names ليس فيها إلا الأسماء
, as he (may Allah be pleased with him) said.
He says: "Meaning the realities do not resemble these *** and both are agreed upon in name". In one copy: "united," and the meaning is the same.
