It is stated in the description of Paradise that it contains what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has not occurred to the heart of any human being. How is this, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked upon Paradise?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Did the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) see Paradise and Hell?

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : How did he say:
I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, nor an ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of الجنة والنر فيهما ما لا عين رأت ولا أذن سمعت ولا خطر على قلب بشر
Sahih al-Bukhari 7498
How is this, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked upon Paradise?

The Shaykh : And what do you say?

The questioner : What no eye has seen in this world.

The Shaykh : He saw it in this world. First, do you know that among the legal texts there are general ones that are subject to specification? It is possible to say, "What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, except what the Prophet (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him) saw." The second point: When the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Paradise and Hell, did he see all of Paradise and Hell, or did he see only a part of it? For example, he saw a woman being tortured and he saw the man with the iron hooks. Do you understand? This is the second point: he did not see everything.

The questioner : The hadith, O Shaykh, is the same hadith; at the end of the hadith it says:
And you looked upon it. بله واطلعتم عليه

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : And you looked upon it.
Meaning, leave aside what you looked upon.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Well, meaning, Paradise was created in its original form, and it was not completed. From the hadith of Abu Salama, when he said, "Inform your Ummah that tasbih is the planting of Paradise," it follows that tasbih plants it.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Does this indicate, O Shaykh, that...

The Shaykh : Yes, it is in it. It indicates, without doubt, because Paradise is valleys. Valleys. Its planting is tasbih, tahmid, and takbir. And in every tasbih there is something.

The questioner : Does it increase, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes, it increases according to the servant's deeds. That is, a person's place is known. In Paradise there are valleys, and whenever he does a good deed, from what the Sunnah has brought, it is planted in it. A tree from Paradise is planted for him in it.
