Mention of the issue: Do the hypocrites see their Lord on the Day of Resurrection?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the hypocrites, they see Allah in the plains of the Resurrection, then a barrier is placed between them and Him, as came in the hadith of Abu Sa'id regarding the story of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) uncovering His Leg, where every believer who prostrated to Allah in this world prostrates to Him, and every one who prostrated for showing off and reputation is unable to do so, and they are the hypocrites. In this is an increase of regret for them, because the one who does not see Him at all has a lighter calamity than those who saw Him and then were barred from Him, is that not so? Yes. For this reason, He (Mighty and Majestic) said:
(63) And have you seen that [seed] which you sow? (64) Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? (65) If We willed, We could make it [dry] أفرأيتم ما تحرثون * أأنتم تزرعونه أم نحن الزارعون * لو نشاء لجعلناه حطاما
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:63-65]
and He did not say: "If We had willed, We would not have grown it," but rather "We would have made it broken stubble after its growth," because the soul's attachment to it after its growth is stronger than its attachment to it after its sowing. So if it is denied to them after its growth, it becomes more severe, what? More severe in impact.
And He said:
(68) And have you seen the water that you drink? (69) Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? (70) If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? أفرأيتم الماء الذي تشربون * أأنتم أنزلتموه من المزن أم نحن المنزلون * لو نشاء جعلناه أجاجا فلولا تشكرون
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:68-70]
and He (Glorified is His Mention) did not say: "If We had willed, We would not have sent it down," because if it is sent down and then becomes corrupt, it becomes more severe in impact on the souls, because the soul, after its descent, attaches to it. So if it is denied to them, it becomes harder for them than if they had not seen it.
So the hypocrites see Allah in the plains of the Resurrection and then are barred from Him – we ask Allah for well-being for us and for you, and that He make us among those who see Him with their eyes in the Gardens of Delight.
