This is the worldly life, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) described it, and the truth is clear.
If you wish to compare this world to the Hereafter, dip your finger into the sea, meaning the ocean, and look at what returns with it; it returns with nothing, feeling nothing in relation to the sea. So the relation of this world to the Hereafter is like that.
