Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (So turn away from him who turns away from Our remembrance and desires nothing but the life of this world)

Then He, the Exalted, said:
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.
[Surat al-Najm: 29] (Turn away) The address is to the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, or it is intended to mean anyone to whom the address is valid,So in the first case, the meaning is: Turn away, O Muhammad,And on the second view: Turn away, O believing human being.
(from him who turns away from Our remembrance and desires nothing but the life of this world) Meaning: Turn away from him and do not follow him, and do not be concerned with his affairs,And the meaning is not: Turn away from him, do not advise him, no.
Because reminding is obligatory,Allah the Exalted said:
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 55] Reminding everyone, so some people benefit from it and some do not, and the one who benefits is the believer,So, based on this, we say: The meaning of (turn away) is: Do not be concerned with him and do not be preoccupied with his affairs, and do not grieve over his turning away, but rather call to the way of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, whoever it may be, but the one who turns away and rejects it, his affairs are not your concern.
(Turn away from him who turns away from Our remembrance) which is the Qur'an, and it is possible that remembrance means reminding,Meaning: from our reminding, and both meanings are compatible and correct, (turn away from him who turns away from Our remembrance) from the Qur'an,As Allah the Exalted said:
And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your peopleوَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ
[Surat al-Zukhruf: 44]
It is not but a message and a clear Qur'anإِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْآنٌ مُبِينٌ
[Surat Yasin: 69] or the meaning is: (from Our remembrance) meaning: from Our reminding, with the admonitions that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, sends down.
And he desires nothing but the life of this worldوَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
O Allah, protect us from the trial of this world,Meaning: He does not desire the Hereafter and does not care about it; his concern is this world, in terms of what is ridden, worn, and dwelt in, so follow what they were extravagant in and they were sinners, he does not care about the Hereafter, the most important thing for him is this world, as for the remembrance of Allah (the Qur'an) or the reminding of Allah, he turns away from it -may Allah protect us- we ask Allah for safety and well-being.
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.
[An-Najm 53:29]
But look at (the life of this world) the description of this world from nearness, which is closeness; and that is due to the lowliness of its rank, and its precedence over the Hereafter, because the abode of this world is the first abode that a person enters, and it precedes the Hereafter in time, so it is near -Meaning: close- and it is also near in terms of rank, it is not a thing compared to the Hereafter, for this reason the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said in what is authentic from him: (The place of a whip of one of you in Paradise is better than this world and what is in it) O Allah, make for us a place in it, better than this world and what is in it, not just better than the world you are in, but better than it from when Allah created it until it perishes, the place of the whip, which is about a meter in Paradise, is better than this world and what is in it, so it is near, for this reason when a person dies and he is a believer -may Allah make us and you among them- then he is carried from his house which he dwells in and takes refuge in,And in it are his family, his wealth, and his attendants. When he leaves, his soul says: Bring me forward, bring me forward, why? Because what you are going to is better than what you are coming out of,Allah the Exalted said:
(16) But you prefer the worldly life, (17) While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
[Surat al-A'la: 16-17] But for whom?
the Hereafter is better for he who fears Allahوَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى
[Surat al-Nisa: 77] But it is evil for one who does not fear.
It is mentioned that Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, may Allah have mercy on him, and he was the chief judge in Egypt, one day passed in his procession on a cart pulled by mules with soldiers around him, with a Jewish man selling oil -who sells oil- whose clothes had been soiled with oil, and he was struggling to make a living, so the Jewish man stopped the procession,And he said to Ibn Hajar: Your Prophet claims that this world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever, so how does this hadith agree with reality?! You are a believer now and he is a Jew, and which of the two is more miserable? The Jew is more miserable in this matter, so how does it agree with reality? So he said: Yes, what I am in now regarding the Hereafter is a prison; because the Hereafter is better for one who fears, and what you are in regarding the Hereafter is a paradise; because the Hereafter has nothing for you but the Fire, and evil is the abode,So he said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, look how Allah opened for him where the truth of the words of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, became clear with great ease.
The important thing is that the Hereafter is better than this world and what is in it, for this reason Allah criticized this one who turned away from the remembrance of Allah and desired nothing but the life of this world,And let us ask: Does the one who desires the life of this world obtain it?
He does not obtain it,Allah the Exalted said:
Whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten for him from it what We willمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاءُ
[Surat al-Isra: 18] It is not what he wishes, but rather
what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell, which he will [enter to] burn, censured and banished. (19) But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer - it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by Allah].
[Surat al-Isra: 18-19] ,And Allah the Exalted said:
Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest
[Surat al-Shura: 20] Because he is given of this world and the Hereafter
And whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof
[Ash-Shuraa 42:20]
some of it, not all of it
but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share.
[Surat al-Shura: 20] .
