"And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger" As for "I bear witness," we say in it what we said about the first one, which is? Yes, it is an acknowledgment with the tongue and a belief in the heart that Muhammad is Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah al-Hashimi al-Qurashi (peace and blessings be upon him), His slave who worships Him, and he has no right to lordship in this regard, ever. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, commanded him, saying:
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah قُلْ لَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ
[Al-An'am 6:50]
"I do not provide for you"
or that I know the unseen وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ
[Al-An'am 6:50]
"I do not know what is in the unseen"
nor do I tell you that I am an angel وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ
[Al-An'am 6:50]
"Nor do I say to you that I am an angel," but rather I am a human being. And Allah, the Exalted, also commanded him, saying:
(21) Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction." (22) Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge. (23) But [I have for you] only notification قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا قُلْ إِنِّي لَنْ يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا إِلَّا بَلَاغًا
[Al-Jinn 72:21-23]
"Except to convey," this is a disconnected exception, meaning: but what I say is a conveyance from Allah and His messages.
And "His Messenger" means His one who is sent. So he is a slave who is not to be worshipped, and a messenger who does not lie. It is obligatory for us to believe that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, a slave among the slaves of Allah. In fact, his servitude is the most specific of worship, the most specific type of worship: the servitude of the messengers (peace be upon them). Look at his statement when it was said to him: "How do you do this?" He used to stand in prayer until his feet swelled, and Allah had forgiven him what had passed of his sin and what was to come. He said:
Shouldn't I be a grateful worshipper? أفلا أكون عبدا شكورا
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 412Sahih (Darussalam)
"His slave and His Messenger" (peace and blessings be upon him).
Now, two groups have differed on this: one group exaggerated regarding the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) until they elevated him to the level of lordship. They call upon him for aid, invoke him, and believe that he has management of the universe.
The second group is the opposite; they denied his message and said that he is a sorcerer, a madman, a liar, and a fortune-teller. As for us, we say that he is the slave of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family and his Companions and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment).
