"Your Lord is not one-eyed": We said that He has two eyes, and if He had more, they would have been mentioned because they are a perfection, so why do we not affirm them for Him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. We mentioned in the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
and your Lord is not blind in one eye وإن ربكم ليس بأعور
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2245Sahih (Darussalam)
We inferred from it the affirmation of two eyes for Allah from two angles. We mentioned that the second angle is that if Allah had more than two eyes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have mentioned it because it is a greater perfection. The question, may Allah reward you, is: if this were an attribute of perfection, would not Allah be described with it, since every attribute of perfection is affirmed for Allah?

The Shaykh : And if He is described with it, then the Messenger must have mentioned it?

The questioner : The question, O Shaykh, is: if this is an attribute of perfection, why is it not affirmed for Allah?

The Shaykh : What is an attribute of perfection? If it were an attribute of perfection, it would be affirmed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to distinguish between the Dajjal and the Lord (Mighty and Majestic), so he mentioned that the Dajjal is one-eyed so that there would be no confusion. Do not ask why other rational matters were not mentioned. We say that the matter is great, and this is the greatest trial since the creation of Adam until the Day of Resurrection: the trial of the Dajjal. People in that state may not be able to conceive of rational matters, but they understand falsehood and truth through tangible matters. It is not known that there are many differences; the difference is not just that he is one-eyed and the Lord is not one-eyed. Be patient. Does the distinction that He has three eyes work or not? It works. So when it was not mentioned, it is known that He does not have three eyes.

The questioner : But is three eyes a greater perfection than two eyes?

The Shaykh : No.
