And the second is also invalid: because Allah the Exalted is too great to be encompassed by any of His creations.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the second, it is also invalid. What is the second? The direction of height that encompasses Him. This is also invalid because Allah is too great to be encompassed by any of His creations. This means that this is impossible. If Allah the Exalted encompassed His Kursi (Footstool) with the heavens and the earth, and the earth in its entirety is in His grasp on the Day of Resurrection, and the earth is folded up in His right hand, is it possible for anything to encompass Him? It is not possible. The seven heavens and the seven earths are in the palm of the Most Merciful, like a mustard seed in one of your hands. And this is also by way of approximation; otherwise, the greatness is even greater. So Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) is not encompassed by any of His creations, even though we say that He is in the height, because the height is a space in which there is nothing, so nothing of His creations encompasses Him.
