The questioner : Is buying the mushaf and then selling it forbidden, given that Allah the Exalted says:
So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُوا بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا
[Al-Baqarah 2:79]

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his Companions, and those who follow them in excellence until the Day of Judgment. There is nothing wrong with buying and selling the mushaf, and there is no blame in it. The Muslims have continued to buy and sell mushafs without objection. It is not possible for the mushaf to spread among the people’s hands except by permitting its sale and purchase, or by obligating its lending to those who do not need it, as some scholars have mentioned.
As for the noble verse mentioned by the questioner, the meaning is that it refers to those who write the Scripture with their own hands and distort it by adding to it or subtracting from it in order to exchange it for a small price. Here, the warning applies to them because they distorted the words of Allah in order to attain what they desire from the worldly objectives, whether that be wealth, status, or otherwise. Yes.
