Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-06a
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Adam narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, saying: al-Hakam narrated to us from Ibrahim from al-Aswad, who said: I asked A'ishah what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do in his house. She said: He would be in the service of his family, meaning he would help his family. When the time for prayer came, he would go out to pray.
The Shaykh : This is from the humility of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he would be in the house serving his family, meaning he would help his family with whatever the house requires, such as washing, cleaning, and other things. And this, along with being the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), is the strongest thing for bringing about affection and love between a man and his family. If the wife, for example, feels that her husband helps her with the affairs of the house and is with her, then she undoubtedly loves him more. This is because men, in most cases, tend to consider themselves above such matters. So if he humbles himself for this and helps his wife, this brings about affection and love. From this, the needs of the house do not prevent or drop the obligation of congregational prayer, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would leave that and go out to pray. This is unlike what was mentioned previously regarding the presence of food in front of a person, in which case he presents it before the prayer. Yes.
