Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-08b

The reciter: Abdullah ibn Muslimah narrated to us from Malik ibn Anas from Ayub ibn Abi Tamimah al-Sakhtiyani from Muhammad ibn Sirin from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) concluded the prayer after two units. Then Dhu al-Yadayn said to him, "Did you shorten the prayer, or did you forget, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people said, "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and prayed two more units, then he said the closing salam, then he said the takbir and prostrated, making his prostration like his previous prostration or longer.
