Reading a research paper on what is reported in the hadith of Tarawih, he said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: Shaykh, regarding the verification of the hadith of Zayd ibn Thabit, we said it is verified, in the chapter on night prayer... (peace and blessings be upon him) made a room, I think he said, from a mat...

The Shaykh : Chapter on Night Prayer.
The student: We said it is verified, and Malik ibn Muhammad took it...

The Shaykh : From which aspect?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, yes, because the reason passed by us a little while ago in Muslim: he feared it would become obligatory, and likewise in al-Bukhari. Who verified it?
The student: Malik Muhammad

The Shaykh : Is Malik ibn Muhammad present? Did you verify it or not?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : What happened? One page or two? Okay, what was it? Give us the summary.
The student: The summary... Tarawih prayer at home... He said: Standing in prayer in Ramadan is voluntary, and likewise standing in prayer throughout the night. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) feared that it would be made obligatory upon his Ummah, so he made it an obligation, and what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) feared and disliked came to pass... And if it is established that it is voluntary, then we know by the established Sunnah that voluntary prayer in homes is better, except that standing in prayer in Ramadan must be performed in congregation following 'Umar, based on the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in that. So if the prayer is performed in the mosques, the best in my opinion at that time, where his intention, humility, and devotion are sound, and he reflects on what he recites in his prayer, is where that is with the standing of the Sunnah of 'Umar, it is better, if Allah wills. And success is from Allah.

The Shaykh : The issue remains in reality, because the issue is that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the reason as fear of it becoming obligatory, and the apparent meaning of the hadith in al-Bukhari is that the reason is that the home is better. This implies that the home is better even after the fear of it becoming obligatory has passed. This is the aspect of the issue. And the apparent view is that the first opinion is the relied-upon one, since the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) left it for fear that it would become obligatory, but he said that the prayer of a man in his home is better to please their hearts. Because when they were following and attending, and then he turned them back, it seems that he (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to please their hearts by saying that the prayer of a man in his home is better. So the relied-upon view is that standing in prayer in Ramadan in the mosques is better, and that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed away for fear that it would become obligatory, but as is his custom (peace and blessings be upon him), he does not like to break hearts. When he stayed away, there would be something in their hearts, so he showed them that the best prayer is the prayer of a man in his home, except for the obligatory prayer. Then the evidence comes from another angle that the best is for standing in prayer at night to be in the mosques. Yes.
The reader: We heard some... saw... in the home, what we heard... says... pray behind the Messenger in the mosque. So we say, the Messenger is their imam and he is in his home. Likewise, this indicates that Tarawih prayer is better in the home, even...

The Shaykh : The hadith is explicit that it was a room in the mosque; he made a room in the mosque, it was not in the home. Yes, that is right.
