Explanation of the Book of Friday and the Two Festivals-01b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abdullah ibn Yusuf narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If I had not found it hard for my followers or the people, I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak for every prayer. لولا أن أشق على أمتي أو على الناس لأمرتهم بالسواك مع كل صلاة
Sahih al-Bukhari 887
.

The Shaykh : This is his statement: "And Abu Sa'id said" This hadith was previously mentioned in a connected form in the Book of Friday itself.
He said: "The ghusl for Friday is obligatory for every person who has reached puberty, and that he should clean his teeth" meaning that he should use the siwak. However, al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him), among the characteristics of his compilation, is that he includes these disconnected narrations as a sign that they have appeared before or will appear later.
And here he said:
If I had not found it hard for my followers or the people, I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak for every prayer. لولا أن أشق على أمتي أو على الناس لأمرتهم بالسواك مع كل صلاة
Sahih al-Bukhari 887
As for the first wording, it is clear;
for my Ummah على أمتي
the intended meaning is the Ummah of response, because a non-Muslim does not pray.
The second wording:
or for the people أو على الناس
This is general, and what is intended by it is...?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What? It appears you were not with us. Do you answer with us or not? What did you say?
The second:
or for the people أو على الناس
In this second wording, the people are intended to be the Muslims, yes, that is correct.
I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak for every prayer. لأمرتهم بالسواك مع كل صلاة
Sahih al-Bukhari 887
An order of obligation is not an order of recommendation, because what is difficult is the order of obligation, whereas an order of recommendation is not difficult, because it is permissible for a person to leave off what is recommended, and what is permissible for a person to leave off is not difficult for him.
