The khatib tells the worshippers to declare the oneness of Allah and send blessings upon the Prophet, poses questions, and waits for their collective response?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some khatibs tell the worshippers to declare the oneness of Allah and send blessings upon the Prophet, or they pose questions to them and wait for a collective response. What is your opinion of this?

The Shaykh : The Friday sermon?

The questioner : The Friday sermon.

The Shaykh : As for posing questions, there is no doubt that it is an error. Likewise, commanding the oneness of Allah is a religious innovation, which we have not known, unless the topic of the sermon is about tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and the speech is about tawhid, in which case he says, "O people, declare the oneness of Allah and avoid shirk (associating partners with Allah)," or if he intends by his saying "declare the oneness of Allah" that you should say "La ilaha illa Allah"?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : This is a problem.
