Which type of patience is the most noble and highest in rank.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Which is the most noble and highest in rank? Which is the most noble and highest in rank? Please, go ahead.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : What?
The student: On obeying Allah.

The Shaykh : You have spoken well. Patience in obeying Allah is the highest in rank, because patience in obedience requires two things: first, restraining the self, and second, the physical, verbal, and practical burden. This is why patience in obeying the commands of Allah is, what? The most noble of the three types of patience. And after that, after that, my brothers? After that? Patience in abstaining from the prohibitions of Allah. Patience in abstaining from the prohibitions of Allah, because a person’s doing of the prohibited things is voluntary, is it not voluntary?
The student: Voluntary.

The Shaykh : Abstaining from the prohibitions is voluntary, so the matter is in his hand; if he wished, he would do the prohibited thing. So if he refrains from it, he has been patient regarding it. But refraining from the prohibited things involves no action; it involves only restraining the self to patience. The lowest of the ranks, what is it? Patience with the decrees of Allah is the lowest of the ranks, because the decrees of Allah are not by human choice. It is a matter Allah has decreed, and it must happen; it is not by human choice. For this reason, some of them said: "Whoever is struck by a calamity, listen, whoever is struck by a calamity, either he is patient with the patience of the noble, or he forgets it with the forgetting of beasts." Look at how good this speech is? Either he, what? Is patient with the patience of the noble, or he forgets it with the forgetting of beasts. If he is patient with the patience of the noble, he is rewarded. And if he is not patient, he is distressed today, and he is distressed tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and then after that, what? He forgets and moves on.
And you now, or many of you, have been struck by a calamity. At first, when one is struck by a calamity, he finds great heat in being patient with it. Then after that, he forgets it. And if we were to forget calamities, and praise be to Allah, we would have perished. If a person, whenever a calamity passed him, it remained in his mind and the pain of its shock remained in his soul, we would never have been at ease in our lives.
advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. تواصوا بالحق وتواصوا بالصبر
[Al-'Asr 103:3]
Now, does it fall under His saying:
and advise one another to patience وتواصوا بالصبر
that they should be patient with the truth? Which is what the messengers brought, or does it not fall under it? There is no god but Allah.
First of all, it falls under His saying:
and advise one another to patience وتواصوا بالصبر
their patience with what the messengers brought, with the truth, because this is severe for the souls. So if he does not have patience with it, he will turn back and not continue in advising one another to the truth.
