Explaining the purpose of people in Surat al-Nas.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
The God of people, the God of people ملك الناس إله الناس
So, the God of people: do we say that "people" here is general but intended to mean the specific, or is it general for all of humanity?
Answer: It is general but intended to mean the specific, because some humans do not make Allah their God. Did you not know that Quraysh said to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)
Have He made the gods one God? أجعل الآلهة إلها واحدا
The question here is for denial and amazement
Have He made the gods one God? أجعل الآلهة إلها واحدا
Then they said
Indeed, this إن هذا
meaning making the gods one God
is an amazing thing لشيء عجاب
And by Allah, the amazing thing is making the gods multiple; that is the amazing thing. As for making the God one, that is the correct thing.
