Discussion regarding the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Allah does not accept the prayer of any of you when he has a state of ritual impurity until he performs ablution.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And on the previous day, we spoke about the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
Allaah, the Exalted, does not accept the prayer of any of you when you are defiled until you performed ablution. لا يقبل الله صلاة أحدكم إذا أحدث حتى يتوضأ
Sunan Abi Dawud 60Sahih (Al-Albani)
We explained some things regarding the state of ritual impurity. Who remembers? Yes, the one behind you. Good. Urine, wind, urine, and feces, eating camel meat, and other things, and sleep. Good. And what comes out from the rest of the body, like nosebleeds and vomiting? It does not invalidate the ablution. That is complete. Rest. And here is a question: If a person has a state of ritual impurity and prays while forgetting the ablution, or forgetting that he has a state of ritual impurity—meaning he forgot to perform ablution, or forgot that he had a state of ritual impurity and prayed—is his prayer valid or not?
The answer: No. His prayer is not valid. He must perform ablution and repeat it, because Allah the Exalted does not accept his prayer if he has a state of ritual impurity, whether he is remembering or forgetting, until he performs ablution.
And if a person prays and there is urine in his garment that he did not wash, while forgetting it, his prayer is valid and he owes nothing.
And if a person prays and there is ritual impurity in his garment that he did not know about until after he prayed, he does not repeat it; rather, his prayer is valid. The evidence for this is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to pray with his Companions, and they used to pray in their sandals. He removed his sandals—leave the beard, man—he removed his sandals. So the Companions removed their sandals, because the action of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is a proof, and his leaving it—go—his leaving it is a proof. If he leaves something while its cause is present, that indicates that leaving it is the recommended practice. The Companions removed their sandals, and when he finished the prayer, he asked them why they had removed their sandals? They said: O Messenger, we saw you remove your sandals, so we removed our sandals. He said:
Indeed, Jibril came to me and informed me that there is filth in them, so I removed them. إن جبريل أتاني وأخبرني أن فيهما قذرا فخلعتهما
. The point of indication: That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did not restart the prayer. And if the prayer were invalidated by ignorance of the ritual impurity, he would have restarted the prayer from the beginning.
We take the hadith that follows. The reader.
