The ruling on swearing by a created thing in relation to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and in relation to humans, with mention of the evidence for this

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This verse contains, I mean, points of discussion:
The first is: How did Allah the Exalted swear by the sky, which is a created thing, when swearing by a created thing is forbidden for us and a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah)? How did Allah the Exalted swear by what He has forbidden for the servants?
The answer to this problem is that we say: It is permissible for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to swear by whatever He wills of His creation. We do not judge Allah, but Allah is the One who judges us. And with this, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) does not swear by anything of His creation except that it contains great signs indicating the greatness of the Creator. So swearing by this created thing is a magnification of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Now, as for us, it is not permissible for us to swear by a created thing, no matter how high its rank. We do not swear by the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). I mean, we do not say "By the Prophet" or "By the Messenger," and we do not swear by Jibril, nor by the sun, nor by the moon, nor by any created thing, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
Whoever is swearing, let him swear by Allah or let him remain silent
. And it was reported from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
He who swears by anyone or anything other than Allah, has indeed committed an act of Kufr or Shirk
Riyad as-Salihin 1711
. And thus, swearing by other than Allah is considered a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah). And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:
If anyone swears on oath is the course which he says: "By al-Lat" he should say: There is no god but Allah
Sunan Abi Dawud 3247Sahih (Al-Albani)
.
- Get up, my brother, are you sleeping? What is it? You are tossing and turning like this. Well, tell your brothers to make some space. Is there nothing wrong? Rest. -
If anyone swears on oath is the course which he says: "By al-Lat" he should say: There is no god but Allah
Sunan Abi Dawud 3247Sahih (Al-Albani)
Because "By al-Lat" is swearing by other than Allah. So it is a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah)
let him say:'La ilaha illallah.'
Sunan Ibn Majah 2096Sahih (Darussalam)
So let him cure shirk with what, my brothers? With tawhid (the oneness of Allah).
let him say:'La ilaha illallah.'
Sunan Ibn Majah 2096Sahih (Darussalam)
Because the cure for a thing is its opposite.
