Exposing the Lies of Musaylimah the Liar

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In contrast, I will mention a refutation of the claim of the liar, Musaylimah the Liar, who claimed prophethood at the end of the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Companions killed him, and praise be to Allah. It is said that he was called to a well whose water had dried up, to a well whose water had dried up, for the sake of blessing. So he called for water, put it in his mouth, and rinsed his mouth with it, then he spat it into the well. The well had a little water in it. When he spat the water from his mouth into the well, do you know what happened? All the water dried up, and he wanted the water to gush forth, but the water dried up. As for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), water gushed forth from between the fingers of his hand during the Battle of al-Hudaybiyyah. The water had become scarce, and the Battle of al-Hudaybiyyah was in the year... what year? The sixth year of the Hijrah. The water became scarce, so they came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the water is scarce; there is not enough to water the camels, nor to drink, nor to perform ablution." And there was a small leather water-skin in front of him, and the water-skin is a small leather vessel, and there was water in it. So he put his hand in the water-skin, and the water began to gush forth from between his fingers like springs, like springs. So they drew water, watered the camels, and performed ablution, and their number was one thousand and four hundred men. Allahu Akbar! Water gushed forth from what is not a source of water. From where did the water gush? From skin, from leather. And this is greater than the sign that Allah gave to Musa. Musa used to strike the stone with the staff, and springs would gush forth. But it is customary for stone to gush forth with water, as the Exalted said:
For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth وإن من الحجارة لما يتفجر منها الأنهار
[Al-Baqarah 2:74]
But the water-skin is the skin of an animal, and it is not customary for water to gush forth from it. So Musaylimah the Liar thought that he would be like the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). And a man was brought to him with a boy, a boy who had bald patches on his head. Do you know what bald patches are? What are bald patches? No, it is not shaving; he had bald patches on his head, meaning some of it had hair growing and some of it had no hair, no hair, yes. So they came to him wanting him to rub his head so that the rest of the head would grow hair. But when he rubbed the head, the hair that was there went away, even the hair that was there went away. This is undoubtedly a supernatural occurrence, meaning it is not the custom of a person that when he rubs a head, the hair falls out. But is the intended supernatural occurrence a refutation or...
