How do we reconcile the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that "the earnings of the cup-taker are foul" with the fact that the cup-taker is given his wage?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : By the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) giving the cup-taker his wage, which indicates that it is lawful. He said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) had cupping performed and gave the cup-taker his wage. If it had been forbidden, he would not have given it to him." The term "foul" can have many meanings. Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending ولا تيمّموا الخبيث منه تنفقون
[Al-Baqarah 2:267]
What is meant by "foul"? Is the question for you? What is meant by "foul"? He said:
spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending أنفقوا ممّا رزقناكم وممّا أخرجنا لكم من الأرض ولا تيمّموا الخبيث منه تنفقون
[Al-Baqarah 2:267]
No one is speaking; the question is specific.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : "Foul" means bad or defective. Yes, not every "foul" thing is forbidden. The term "foul" may mean bad or defective, or something that people dislike, for example.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : Huh?

The questioner : Disliked?

The Shaykh : No, and it is not disliked.
