What is the ruling on taking one's wives along on da'wah to Allah to Pakistan?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah preserve you, O honorable Shaykh. This young man, may Allah reward you, O Shaykh, wants to go out for da'wah to Allah the Exalted in Pakistan, and he wants to take his wife with him. He issued a passport for her and went with her for da'wah to Allah in Pakistan. When he returned, he told many of the young men about his movement in da'wah there and about his activity. The young men became enthusiastic about this matter and wanted to do the same or follow his example. We want clarification of this issue, may Allah preserve you, if the matter is permissible, and to make it clear to many of the young men so they do not fall into it?

The Shaykh : Yes, may Allah reward them and their knowledge and their da'wah. Allah the Exalted said to His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:214]
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) called people to Allah stage by stage, starting with the closest. Why do these brothers who went to Pakistan or other foreign countries not work within the Kingdom? Now there are areas in the Kingdom where people do not know how to perform wudu', and some of them do not even know how many prayers there are! They are in great need. They might say, "By Allah, we are unable to do so because we are not granted a visa." If the situation reaches this point, there is no harm in them going out, but it is obligatory that they have a leader to whom they refer regarding what is unclear to them, so that they do not stumble in the religion of Allah, thereby going astray and leading the servants of Allah astray. Do you understand?

The questioner : What about the going out of women?

The Shaykh : As for the going out of women, it is necessary that his wife be with him to protect him and he protects her, which is better than her remaining behind and being lost, and he too might be lost.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : There is no mistake in this, meaning, if this necessitates that he take his wife and leave the children, that is a mistake. We would say to him: Do not leave the children. Your children are more deserving of your care than you are. And now the streets are frightening, especially regarding the young people. If a person does not have care for his children, along with reliance upon Allah and seeking guidance for them, they are in danger. Yes.
