The Shaykh : Complete knowledge is not attained through bodily comfort; one must undergo hardship. That is why it is said: "Give knowledge all of yourself and you will attain some of it; give it some of yourself and it will all be lost". So hardship is necessary. As for superficial knowledge, like our knowledge in the present day, this is... And if you read the history of the great scholars, you will know that they endured great hardship. They would stay up all night for a single issue. And yet, they did not stay up under lights like these, but by candlelight, which strains the eyes to read by. But they were striving because they knew that this is a struggle in the path of Allah. Yes.
