The questioner : If a person has a love for good and wants to call to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but does not have religious knowledge, what are the actions he performs to receive reward from Allah (Mighty and Majestic)?

The Shaykh : One does not receive the reward for calling to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) unless he calls to Allah. Calling to Allah must be preceded by knowledge, as Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. قُلْ هَذِهِ سَبِيلِي أَدْعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِي
[Yusuf 12:108]
It is not possible for anyone to call to Allah without knowledge. How would he call? To what? He might call to misguidance without knowing it. As long as he has ignorance, it is obligatory for him to learn first, then call second. Yes.
