How does the one who is praying respond to the greeting of peace during prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. A Muslim may be performing the greeting of the mosque or the regular voluntary prayer in the mosque, and his brother comes to him while he is praying. Before he prays, he greets him and says, "Peace be upon you." Is the greeting prescribed? And how does he respond to it while he is praying? This usually happens, and it happens often.

The Shaykh : Regarding the greeting of peace to the one who is praying, whether it is the regular voluntary prayer, the greeting of the mosque, or the obligatory prayer, the one who is praying responds to the greeting with his hand. He raises it like this, look, like this, indicating that he is aware of it and has responded to it. If this Muslim remains until the one who is praying completes his prayer, he responds to him with words. If he leaves, the gesture is sufficient. But is it recommended for a person to greet the one who is praying or not? We say: It is permissible. And if he fears that the one who is praying is distracted, then if he greets him, he says, "Peace be upon you," because sometimes, sometimes the one who is praying is distracted. So if he greets him, he says, "Peace be upon you," and he does not greet him. Yes.
