Does a person limit himself to fasting only the tenth day of Muharram so that it expiates a year for him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh (may Allah preserve him), is it sufficient for a Muslim to fast only the tenth of Muharram so that it expiates a full year for him?

The Shaykh : That is, Ashura, which is the tenth of the month of Muharram. If a person fasts it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that it expiates the year before it. However, it is better not to single it out, but to fast a day before it or a day after it.
