And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]. وأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة واركعوا مع الراكعين
[Al-Baqarah 2:43]
“Establish prayer” is a general term for all prayers, both obligatory and voluntary. “Giving zakah” means paying it to its rightful recipients; it is the wealth that Allah the Exalted has made obligatory, specifically the portion or share that Allah the Exalted has made obligatory in zakatable wealth.
and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].واركعوا مع الراكعين
[Al-Baqarah 2:43]
“Who are those who bow down?” Those who bow down are this Ummah (the Muslim community). That means, pray with them during their prayer and adhere to their rulings and legislations.
