My maternal and paternal sisters through breastfeeding: some of them refused to meet me and rejected this matter. Is there any sin on me if I cut off ties with them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I have sisters through my father and through my mother via breastfeeding, and they obtained a fatwa from the Shaykh, the noble father, Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Baz (may Allah preserve him and grant him piety). Of course, we are siblings through breastfeeding.
Some of them accepted this matter, some rejected it, some accepted to meet, meaning to ask about my condition and I ask about theirs, and some said: only the inquiry, not the meeting. So is there a sin on me if I cut off ties with them, meaning those who rejected this matter, or is there a sin on them for that?

The Shaykh : Are they relatives to you?

The questioner : They are sisters through breastfeeding.

The Shaykh : Breastfeeding is not kinship; breastfeeding is not kinship, and it is not obligatory for a person to maintain ties with his breastfeeding relatives as he maintains ties with his blood relatives. However, there is no doubt that this is a type of connection, so maintaining ties with them is good. As for some women refusing to face their breastfeeding mahrams or refusing to uncover their faces to them, that is modesty and shyness, and the intention behind it is never to oppose the Shari'ah.
Yes, Allah is the Greatest.
