If there is a mother and her children in the house, and they have children with them, who among them performs the sacrifice?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, if there is a mother in the house with her married sons, and they have children, who among them performs the sacrifice?

The Shaykh : In one house, the one responsible for it performs the sacrifice, whether that is the father, the husband, or the eldest brother. The important point is that the one responsible for the house is the one who performs the sacrifice and intends that it is a sacrifice for everyone.

The questioner : But the mother is in the house with her married sons.

The Shaykh : In one house.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Who is considered the guardian of this house?

The questioner : The eldest son.

The Shaykh : So he is the one who performs the sacrifice.

The questioner : And the mother?

The Shaykh : The mother does not perform the sacrifice because she is included in her son's sacrifice.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
