What is the ruling on what some young people do, playing and talking, and when the imam bows, they run to catch up with the rak'ah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah preserve you, O Shaykh: What is the ruling on what some young people do while the imam is praying, namely playing and talking? And when the imam bows, they come running and disturb the worshippers. What is the ruling on this rak'ah, and what is the ruling on what they are doing?

The Shaykh : As for their action, it is bad. I mean, these people remain in the mosque talking, and perhaps laughing, while the people are praying. So when the imam bows, they come running and enter the prayer. There is no doubt that this is bad.
As for whether they caught up with the rak'ah?
We say: Yes, they caught up with the rak'ah if they said the takbir of ihram while standing, and then they caught up with the imam in the bowing. However, they are forbidden from doing so, because of the harm it causes to the worshippers, and because of turning away from the prayer while the people are praying.
