What is the ruling on hiring a female servant without a mahram? And does she uncover her face in the house where she works?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the female servant in the house who does not have a mahram with her, is it permissible or not?

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : The work of the female servant.

The Shaykh : The work of the female servant?

The questioner : Yes, she does not have a mahram with her.

The Shaykh : I mean, for cooking food and the like?

The questioner : Yes, and she uncovers her face in the house.

The Shaykh : The female servant in the house:
First: It is necessary that she have a mahram with her. It is not permissible for a person to bring a female servant without a mahram, because this is a great fitnah (trial).
Second: It is obligatory for her to observe hijab from the men of the house, just as she observes hijab from the people of the market, for there is no difference, and they are all non-mahrams to her. The negligence of some people today is among the things by which people are afflicted. Indeed, some people are negligent about uncovering the face of the female servant, and some are also negligent about entering the house when no one is there except the female servant, so he is alone with her, although no man is alone with a woman except that the third of them is Shaytan, may Allah protect us from Him. The obligatory thing is to be cautious.
The obligatory thing, first: That we do not bring a servant except for a pressing need (hajah), because without a need, it is a waste of money, because she will ask you for a monthly salary. So if you are not in need of her, spending this salary is a waste of money.
Second: That she have a mahram with her.

The questioner : Well, regarding!

The Shaykh : You have only one question.
