Is one who has embraced Islam and said the two testimonies, then died, a Muslim even if he never performed any deeds? And is one who says he is a believer on the creed of the Murji'ah?

The questioner : A continuation on the issue of the previous one. May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : The first one says to the second: This is a Christian who embraced Islam moments before his death and uttered the two testimonies. The second said: He does not become a Muslim because he did not perform deeds, and whoever says he is a Muslim is on the creed of the Murji'ah.
The first one said: What do you have to say about the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to his uncle, commanding him to testify while he was on his deathbed? Also, regarding the hadith:
You have broken his heart. أنت شققت على قلبه
?
The other said, and the second said: And what do you have to say about the story of Pharaoh when he drowned?

The Shaykh : There is no problem with this. If a person repents before he begins to gasp for his last breath, Allah accepts his repentance, as this has come in the texts. As for the statement of the Murji'ah, when they say that the sinner who had previously embraced Islam and was disobeying Allah (Mighty and Majestic) without committing disbelief is a believer with complete faith, and this sin does not harm him, but this man did not commit any sin at all; he testified that there is no god but Allah and then passed away, so this is the peak of the perfection of his faith. For this reason, it came in the hadith:
If anyone’s last words are ‘There is no god but God,’ he will enter paradise. من كان آخر كلامه من الدنيا لا إله إلا الله دخل الجنة
Mishkat al-Masabih 1621
. It is not hidden from us the story of al-Asir, a man from Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal, who was hostile to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and disliked his call. When he heard about the expedition, the Battle of Uhud, Allah placed Islam in his heart and he went out. When he went out and what happened to the Muslims occurred, and the people went to check on their dead, they found this man on his last breath. They said: What brought you? Are you not against this matter? Did you come to spy on your people, or out of desire for Islam? He said: Rather, out of desire for Islam. And he instructed them to convey his peace to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed them, as I recall now, that he is among the people of Paradise. Deeds are judged by their endings. May Allah make our endings and yours good.
Here, O Musa, is it settled?
