If I am praying next to a man suffering from fainting and he faints during the prayer, is it permissible for me to break my prayer to help him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This questioner is from the city of Amlaj; he uses the initials J M for his name. He says: “O honorable Shaykh, if I am praying next to a person suffering from epilepsy or fainting, and he faints during the prayer, is it valid for me to break my prayer to help him? I ask for an answer to my question.”

The Shaykh : It appears that it is permissible for you to break the prayer to help him; indeed, it may become obligatory if you fear that he will perish if you do not help him. Because his remaining in his epileptic fit, kicking in front of you, is a matter you cannot bear, and perhaps if you continued in your prayer, you would not know what you are saying. And Allah the Exalted says:
O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا لا تَقرَبُوا الصَّلاةَ وَأَنتُم سُكارى حَتّى تَعلَموا ما تَقولونَ
[An-Nisa 4:43]
So in such a case, there is no harm in breaking your prayer to attend to this man having an epileptic fit. Indeed, it may become obligatory for you to break the prayer if you fear his death if you do not attend to him. Yes.
